MusicNT is the peak body for contemporary music in the Northern Territory. It has a membership base of 3500 individuals and delivers programs across the Territory and across the country. MusicNT’s mission is to support the growth and development of the contemporary music industry in the Northern Territory and we do that through a suite of programs that support and encourage NT musicians to create and export their music to the world as well as working to grow the NT music industry.
Creative Australia is the Australian Government’s principal arts investment and advisory body. Originally founded as the Australia Council for the Arts in 1968, the body welcomed the Australian Goverment’s National Cultural Policy - Revive in 2023. It introduced Creative Australia and as a result, a modernised and transformational step in the evolution of the organisation.
Music Australia was created with Creative Australia as a dedicated new body to support and invest in the contemporary Australian music industry.
