In March 2023, The Music Writer’s Lab delivered its second program, this time in South Australia. Travelling to Adelaide during the city’s busy festival season, the project was orchestrated to create content by aspiring local writers, to support their local industry. In this case, the focus event was WOMADelaide — Australia’s largest international music festival.

The South Australian edition of The Music Writer’s Lab was a condensed program, that offered participating writers the opportunity to develop work and learn from their dedicated mentors on ground at WOMADelaide across the full festival weekend, as well as through a day-long intensive held at the St. Paul’s Creative Centre, supported by MusicSA.
